S.T. Dupont Classique fountain pen with a gold‑plated finish and an 18‑carat solid gold nib, black resin section, 13.3 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, made in France in the late 20th century, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
The pen is in very good condition, notably for its excellent gold-plated finish, which maintains a uniform and attractive shine throughout the entire ensemble.
The characteristic vertical brushed pattern remains sharp, lending the refined elegance typical of S.T. Dupont's Classique line.
In terms of aesthetics, small superficial micro-scratches derived from careful use over time are visible only up close and under certain lighting conditions. No dents, dings, or loss of coating are detected, indicating responsible preservation.
The clip is firm and properly aligned, maintaining its functionality and aesthetics without deformations. The black resin section shows a very good state, with minimal signs of use.
The 18-karat solid gold nib is in very good condition, with no deformations or irregular openings, preserving proper geometry.
The filling system functions correctly.
This is a very well-preserved exemplar, with an ideal balance between use and presentation, perfect for both collection and everyday writing enjoyment.
Conservation recommendations:
- It is recommended to use high-quality inks for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented inks.
- Clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while; dry before storing.
- Keep in a dry place, away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and operate the system gently.
