This sculpture represents the bust of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus; it bears no signature. It is a reproduction based on the famous Roman copy uncovered in the Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum. Heraclitus, known as the 'philosopher of becoming', is famous for his thought on the constant change of reality.
