Wooden box with a three‑dimensional geometric inlay, dating to 1950–1960, with dimensions about 31 x 21.5 x 19 cm.
Description from the seller
Three-dimensional geometric marquetry in a wooden box – 20th century
Elegant decorative box made of wood with inlay work, characterized by refined side panels with a cubical geometric motif in perspective, a striking three-dimensional effect. The structure is solid and well-proportioned, with a stepped shape lid and a raised central element that adds depth and movement to the whole.
The exterior is veneered in burl wood, presumably walnut or a similar essence, with warm, natural grains that further enhance the decorative composition. The interior is simple, with a wooden base and a lining in the lid, designed to hold small objects, jewelry or documents.
Produced in the 20th century, with a classic taste and neo-Renaissance references, probably European in origin. A well-executed item, suitable both as a functional piece and as a furnishing accessory.
Dimensions: about 31 x 21.5 x 19 cm.
Condition: good, signs of time and use are present, with small missing parts and wear as shown in the photos. Lock present but not functioning. Overall the piece maintains excellent aesthetic presence and high visual harmony.
Perfect as a jewelry box, desk-top container, or decorative element on a console, bookshelves or furniture, in both classical and contemporary settings, where the perspectival play of the inlays creates an interesting focal point.
Photos are an integral part of the description. Guaranteed careful packaging entrusted to professionals in the field.
