Chinese porcelain flambe brush washer –China- mid 20th Century
On offer is a good quality flambé glazed brush washer with crackled glaze. Also known as Sang de boeuf, langyao glaze, all meaning oxblood. It has a short and round body and short foot. The brush washer has a high shine surface. The exterior is partly decorated with an crimson-red (peach bloom) glaze, imitating the skin of a ripening peach. It has an overall fine crackled greyish ground glaze and a brown iron foot rim.
Date: late 20th century.
Size: This brush washer measures 10,5 cm across and 3 cm in height.
Condition: Excellent! No damage. No chips, no frits, no hairlines.
