This tea caddy, used in Japanese tea ceremonies, was crafted by the artisan "Hoshichi." Made of paulownia wood, it is lacquered with natural lacquer while retaining the clear wood grain. The lid is decorated with a three-flower sunflower family crest using the maki-e technique, and the inside of the lid features Japanese floral patterns. The bottom bears the "Hoshichi" mark. It comes with an original paulownia wood box and a gift cloth. The date-shaped tea caddy is a special utensil used in Japanese tea ceremonies for storing matcha. Paulownia wood is highly breathable, and the maki-e family crest embodies traditional Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship. This piece is well-preserved, with a glossy lacquer finish and clearly visible wood grain.
