This tea caddy, used in Japanese tea ceremonies, was crafted by the artisan "Hoshichi." Made of paulownia wood, it is lacquered with natural lacquer while retaining the clear wood grain. The lid is decorated with a three-flower sunflower family crest using the maki-e technique, and the inside of the lid features Japanese floral patterns. The bottom bears the "Hoshichi" mark.
