Two vintage Arab perfume bottles from Morocco, the larger glass bottle (24 cm high, 10 cm diameter) with silver‑plated filigree decorations and a metal cap attached by a chain and a dispensing opening in the cap, dating to the early 20th century, and the smaller Fez earthenware vase (16 cm high including lid, 8 cm diameter) with blue bleu de fez patterns and silver‑plated engravings; both are in good condition with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
Two vintage Arabic perfume bottles, both with silver-plated filigree decorations.
- the largest bottle is made of glass. The cap is attached to the bottle with a small chain. Around it are silver-plated rims and decorations. The cap is entirely metal. The bottle was used for perfume or scented oils. There is a small opening in the cap; the bottle was moved toward visitors, and drops of perfume came out of the cap (see last photo). The bottle is 24 cm tall (including the cap) and has a diameter of 10 cm. Early 20th century.
- the smaller vase is made of earthenware and comes from Fez. It is a handmade ceramic vase with characteristic blue decorations, so-called bleu de fez. The vase and lid are decorated with silver-plated decorations and engravings. At the bottom is the maker's mark and the place name, Fes, MiH. The height is 16 cm including the lid, the diameter 8 cm.
