Lovely original piece by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.
Graduated from the Academy for Visual Arts Maastricht (1996). Uses Borgen Lindhardt as a signature name and is known for her “kimono-series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. Creates oil paintings in which old masters, combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies and fantasy figures), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible brushstroke and sometimes thick paint surface. She alternates between detailed, imaginative and playful works and loose, sketchy paintings.
