Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
An 18 karat yellow gold vintage Art Nouveau ring from 1850–1900, weighing 3.5 g, with a 0.15 ct cabochon sapphire at the centre, surrounded by four 0.04 ct pink sapphires and twelve 0.02 ct pink diamonds, EU ring size 46 (IT 6, US 3 ¾), no laboratory report, and no brand marking, showing signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Characterful Art Nouveau ring, a piece that captures the artistic essence of the late 19th century with an openwork circular design that conveys lightness and sophistication. In the center stands a 0.15 ct cabochon sapphire, whose polished, smooth surface enhances a particularly attractive depth of color, surrounded by four additional 0.04 ct pink-cut sapphires that provide a delicate contrast. Completing the composition are 12 pink-cut diamonds of 0.02 ct, adding a subtle, elegant sparkle, very characteristic of jewelry from this period.
The open structure not only enhances the aesthetics but also allows light to pass through the piece, creating changing reflections and a sense of continuous movement.
Cabochon sapphires were highly valued in the Art Nouveau era for their almost mystical appearance, as they do not seek intense brilliance but a softer, enveloping beauty. A unique jewel, with meticulous craftsmanship and an uncommon design, perfect for those who value pieces with history, style, and a truly special charm.
Gemstones are commonly treated to improve color or clarity. This has not been investigated for this specific item.
The piece shows no distinctive hallmark; the gold has been previously inspected by a professional.
It ships perfectly packaged, by registered mail and insured.
The piece ships with standard packaging.
Pickup in Madrid or Barcelona is available, by appointment.
