Giuseppe Marinucci - Sculpture, Crocifissione - 41.5 cm - Bronze

Rare and imposing bronze bas-relief plaque depicting the Crucifixion, by the esteemed Italian sculptor Giuseppe Marinucci. This monumental plaque was originally conceived as the cover plate for the prestigious luxury edition of "I Vangeli" (Augustus Victorius Editor, Rome, circa 1967).
The work is distinguished by a plastically expressive language: the body of Christ is rendered with elongated forms and a vibrant materiality that enhances the quality of the bronze casting.
