Description from the seller
Brahin Pallasite –
Brahin Pallasite – Polished Slice | 83.1 g | 14.9 × 10 × 0.43 cm
A striking fully polished slice of the Brahin pallasite, a historic stony-iron meteorite found in the Gomel region of Belarus. Brahin has been known since the early 19th century and is one of the most significant pallasites from Eastern Europe, classified as PMG (Main Group Pallasite).
This specimen displays a rich mosaic of olivine crystals embedded in a brilliantly polished kamacite-taenite matrix. The olivines range from golden-yellow and amber to deep olive-green, with characteristic partial oxidation on some crystals lending additional depth and contrast. The generous surface area — nearly 150 cm² — ensures exceptional visual presence, with crystals well distributed across the entire face.
The piece has been treated with anti-oxidation protection to preserve the metallic matrix long-term. Edges retain the natural, irregular outline of the original mass.
A museum-quality display piece and a distinguished addition to any pallasite collection.

Pallasite Brahin – Fetta lucidata | 83,1 g | 14,9 × 10 × 0,43 cm
A gleaming, fully polished slice of Brahin, a historic stony-iron meteorite found in the Gomel region of Belarus. Known since the early nineteenth century, Brahin is one of the most significant pallasites from Eastern Europe, classified as PMG (Main Group Pallasite).
The specimen showcases a rich mosaic of olivine crystals embedded in a mirror-polished kamacite-taenite matrix. The olivines vary from golden-yellow to amber to deep olive green, with the characteristic partial oxidation on some crystals adding depth and contrast. The generous surface area — almost 150 cm² — guarantees exceptional visual presence, with crystals well distributed across the entire face.
The piece has been treated with antioxidant protection to preserve the metallic matrix over time. The edges retain the natural, irregular profile of the original mass.
A museum-quality piece and a prized addition to any pallasite collection.
