Indiana - Platter (11) - Uranium glass

These are uranium glass (also called Vaseline glass) bowls in the shape of a leaf, produced by the Indiana Glass Company around 1930.

Material: Uranium glass contains a small amount of uranium oxide.
Effect: The bowls glow bright green under a UV lamp (blacklight).
Design: Often referred to as the "Pebble Leaf" or "Cabbage Leaf" pattern with a handle that resembles a twig.
