Armando, Tree IV, a 1984 lithograph in a limited edition of 73/125, hand-signed, in good condition and framed, depicting a landscape in an abstract style, originating from the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Armando, born Herman Dirk van Dodeweerd (Amsterdam, 18 September 1929 – Potsdam, 1 July 2018), was a versatile Dutch artist: painter, sculptor, poet, writer, violinist, actor, journalist and maker of film, television and theatre. He used only the name Armando and regarded his birth name as a pseudonym that no longer held any meaning for him. He himself viewed his oeuvre as one single 'Gesamtkunstwerk', strongly influenced by his experiences during the Second World War in the surroundings of Kamp Amersfoort.
This work from the Tree series is a minimalist rendering, where the title suggests the connection with trees and guides the interpretation.
Dimensions: 49 x 33 cm
Dimensions with frame: 65 x 45 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we work with restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
