The fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, highlighting especially the liveliness and uniformity of its characteristic coral-red celluloid, a finish highly valued in pre-war Montblanc productions. The material preserves good depth of color and natural shine, with a very attractive appearance that enhances the classic design of the Simplo series.

The body and cap show light micro-signs of use typical of the passage of time, consisting of small superficial marks visible only upon close inspection. No cracks or structural deformations are noticed in the celluloid, maintaining excellent integrity for a piece of this era. The inscriptions “SIMPLO ORIGINAL MONTBLANC” remain clearly legible on the body, maintaining good definition.

The cap presents good overall conservation, with the metal rings properly aligned and with moderate wear in keeping with its age. The Montblanc clip in the classic style remains firm and functional, showing a natural patina that adds historical character to the piece. At the top of the cap is preserved the emblematic Montblanc symbol, correctly integrated and in good condition.

At the heel, the engraving of the number 4 is visible, corresponding to the model size within the Simplo line, maintaining good definition.

The original Montblanc gold 14-karat nib is well preserved, with the engravings still visible and a solid structure. The tip appears properly aligned and suitable for writing, preserving the typical elasticity of Montblanc nibs from this period, which provides a smooth writing experience with pleasant feedback.

The filling system has been inspected and put into operation, ensuring proper and reliable use. As is customary in piston-filler fountain pens of this generation, the mechanism operates smoothly when activated correctly.

Overall, this is a very attractive and well-preserved specimen that retains the charm and elegance of pre-war Montblanc fountain pens, making it an interesting piece for both collection and use.
