Vanessa Mitrani - Lamp - TRACE lamp - Glass

This lamp is a prototype by designer Vanessa Mitrani. This model has never been produced. Only a very few copies of this lamp exist.
It is emblematic of her work on the constraints of glass, blown into a metal structure, and carried by a blend of materials.
Here, the softness, the roundness and the fragility of the glass form a contrast with the strict and regular weave of the metal mesh.
The glass is mouth-blown inside the chrome steel structure, from which it springs forth and from which its form is born.

Vanessa Mitrani's work is distributed worldwide by prestigious retailers such as Roche Bobois, Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman, or Cassina.
Some of her creations are part of the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
The pieces are made in close collaboration with artisans, and are assembled in her Pantin workshop, near Paris where she designs all her collections.
