Description from the seller
They are a pair of lamps that fully breathe that mid-20th-century air where the blend of noble materials sought presence without being loud. The structure rises on a turned and faceted wooden base, wide and solid, which provides stability and a touch of warmth. From there ascends a cylindrical shaft of light wood, straight and serene, interrupted in the central zone by an ornamental ring of silvered brass: a bright piece, almost crown-like, that adds contrast and a touch of industrial elegance typical of the fifties and sixties.
At the top, the metallic cap supports a double socket oriented at an angle, typical of large-format table lamps of that era. They do not retain the shades, which opens the door to reinterpret them with contemporary screens or with designs that respect their original spirit. They measure about 80 cm in height, so they have a notable presence and function almost as luminous sculptures within a space.
The wiring, of its time, needs to be updated to ensure safety and everyday use, but the wooden structure and silvered brass maintain an intact charm. They are large, decorative pieces with character, ready to recover their shine with minimal intervention.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
