Lot of 5: Globe Gores & “Vlaggenglobe” Paper Globes (1950s–1960s) – Cartographic & Educational Material
A fascinating and visually appealing lot consisting of two complete sets of globe gores and three vintage Scandinavian/Dutch “Vlaggenglobe” paper globes, dating from the mid-20th century.
This lot beautifully illustrates how the world was represented and taught in schools during the 1950s–1960s, combining production material (gores) with finished educational objects (flag globes).
Contents of the lot:
1. Two sets of globe gores (cartographic segments)
Two complete sets of printed paper globe gores — the tapered segments used to construct a spherical globe.
