Dit is een Ikul (of Ikula), een traditioneel ceremonieel kortzwaard of mes van het Kuba-volk (ook bekend als Bakuba) uit de Democratische Republiek Congo.

Het wordt gekenmerkt door een bladvormig lemmet en een houten handvat dat is afgewerkt met een ronde knop.

In de Kuba-cultuur is de Ikul een symbool van volwassen mannelijkheid en sociale status. Historisch gezien droeg elke volwassen Kuba-man een dergelijk mes.
