Gustave van Vaerenberg - Bust, Buste - 20 cm - Alabaster, Bronze

This concerns a work by the sculptor Gustave Van Vaerenbergh (Ghent, January 6, 1873 – Schaerbeek, February 16, 1927). He studied at the Ghent Academy and moved to Brussels in 1901, where he first settled in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode and later in Schaerbeek. He was known there as a modeler of statues. He also worked for l’Etablissement Carli et Frères. Bronze casts and marble copies of his designs are known.
This is a marble bust of a child in a bronze mount.
Height 20 cm, dating from the early part of the last century.
