Title : Gulliver's Travels (Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World by Lemuel Gulliver, first a surgeon, then a captain on different ships — Complete in four parts)
Translator : B.-H. Gausseron (new and complete translation, first faithful full translation of the English text)
Illustrator : Victor Armand Poirson (numerous color and black-and-white in-text and plate illustrations)

Binding :
Subsequent bibliophile binding in dark green full calf, spine with raised bands and gilded fillets, gilded title on the back. Upper board adorned with a mosaic of polychrome leathers (geometric Art Deco-style pattern in red, yellow, green, orange and blue). Binding signed P. de Surmont (golden signature at the foot of the lower board). Edges fully gilded. Endpapers with decorative paper featuring heraldic animal motifs (lions and dragons in red, green and gold), echoed on the case.
Case :
A slipcase-box sliding overlaid with the same heraldic decorative paper, bordered with green calf, ensuring ideal protection.
Interior condition :
Some scattered foxing typical of a 140-year-old work, not affecting the illustrations. Text complete.
