A rare and fascinating eighteenth-century edition of La Henriade, Voltaire's celebrated epic poem about the events of Henry IV of France during the Wars of Religion between Catholics and Protestants.
The edition is indicated on the title page as “Nouvelle édition, corrigée & augmentée,” i.e. revised by the author with corrections and enlargements compared to previous versions.
