Vintage Writing Instruments Auction

This is a gilded dip pencil, I estimate from around 1900. The pencil can be advanced forward from the holder by a sliding ring. At the back there is a magazine for spare nibs under a nicely decorated screw cap. The pencil is in its original box. It has sustained some damage over time (see photo).

Dit is een verguld vulpotlood, ik schat uit 1900.
Het potlood kan uit de houder naar voren geschoven worden door een schuifring. Aan de achterkant bevindt zich een magazijn voor lossen puntjes onder een fraai gedecoreerd schroefdopje.
Het potlood zit in het originele doosje. Dat heeft een beschadiging opgelopen in de loop der tijd (zie foto).
