Oil on canvas, 'Bois avec moi', by Giacomo Steibe (1960–1970), Italy, 85 × 66 cm, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
- Oil on canvas. Original canvas. Signed. Backed on the reverse.
- Framed within a geometry of broken planes, a young Roman profile, marble-like, watches us from inside the canvas, where her face —a puzzle of ochre lights and terracotta shadows— breaks apart and reassembles in a Cubist dance. With hands that are angles of pure intention, she holds a glass of red wine that is a ruby hexagon, a crystal architecture that defies perspective to offer us the soul of the vine. She does not speak with a voice, but with the rhyme of her mismatched shoulders and the lyric of an eye that looks at us from the front while the other loses itself in the past, inviting us to break the barrier of pigment to share that wine which, in her world of edges and dreams, is the only perfect curve of a shared intoxication.
- Image dimensions without frame: 52 x 70 cm / 68 x 85 cm with exclusive custom frame.
