Shino-yaki Matcha Tea Bowl (Chawan) - with Beautiful Scarlet Fire Marks (Hiiro)
This is a powerful Shino-ware (Shino-yaki) tea bowl, featuring a thick, milky-white feldspar glaze and dramatic "Hiiro" (scarlet fire marks). The texture shows the classic "Yuzuhada" (citrus skin) effect, highly prized by tea ceremony practitioners.
The bowl has a sturdy semi-cylindrical shape with a hand-carved foot (Kodai), showing a distinctive artist's mark carved into the clay. While the specific artist is unknown (no original box), the craftsmanship is of high quality, capturing the wabi-sabi aesthetic perfectly.
