Description from the seller
Meteorite Sericho – Complete Two-Halves Specimen
A truly exceptional opportunity for the discerning collector: a complete Sericho pallasite meteorite presented in its two natural halves, with a total combined weight of 85.66 grams of authentic cosmic material. Found in 2016 on the arid plains of Habaswein, Kenya, this extraordinary specimen has been preserved in its entirety, allowing the collector to simultaneously appreciate both the rough, untouched exterior rind and the dazzling internal architecture — a privilege rarely available in the meteorite market.
Each half exposes an interior landscape of olivine crystals in deep forest green tones and warm golden hues firmly set in a dense iron-nickel matrix virtually unaltered since the formation of our solar system more than 4.5 billion years ago. Held against any light source, the olivines glow with natural translucence that transforms this meteorite into something that transcends science and enters the realm of natural art.
Pallasites represent less than 1% of all meteorites known worldwide. A complete two-halves specimen that fits together is an upper-order rarity — a collection piece of the highest level, scientifically as meaningful as visually unforgettable.
A complete visitor from outer space, offered as nature conceived it.
Includes:
• Authenticity certificate
• Explanatory booklet
• Display case
