Very old Lélé mask, Bashilélé, a sub-group of Kuba culture. Belgian Congo.

Face with almond-shaped, half-closed eyes and incised geometric decorations
Hard wood.
Old honey and brown patina, traces of natural pigments, cracked with indigenous restorations made with plant-fiber staples
Pedestal.
Late 19th century, early 20th century.

Authentic piece used in tribal practice.
