Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Visconti Van Gogh fountain pen with a black resin body and palladium-plated metal components, silver-plated clip and central band, 14.5 cm long and 1.3 cm in diameter, made in Italy by Visconti in the 2000–2010 period, in good used condition with minor signs of wear, steel nib, working and supplied in a courtesy presentation box.
Description from the seller
The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful upkeep consistent with moderate use.
The black resin body maintains excellent shine and depth, with slight micro-scratches typical of use, visible only under direct light and not in the least affecting its overall aesthetics. No cracks, dents, or deformations are apparent.
The palladium-finished metal components, such as the clip and the center band engraved “Van Gogh,” are in very good condition, preserving their definition and legibility. Very fine signs of use or micro-scratches can be seen, consistent with the passage of time, but with no material loss or significant wear.
The steel nib is in excellent condition, clean, well aligned and ready for use. The pen has been inspected and tested, guaranteeing proper operation of the filling system and smooth writing.
The screw closure system operates smoothly and precisely, ensuring a firm seal.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, fully operational and ready for both use and collection.
Care recommendations
It is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoid pigmented inks, rinse with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and always operate the mechanism gently to preserve its movement.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper conservation. Happy bidding!
