John Laurance

Alexander Gempfenstein (1909-1964) ook genaamd Alexandre de Wemmel, (1909-1964). 
In de dertiger jaren van vorige eeuw richtte hij langs de Brusselsesteenweg 96 te Wemmel een keramiekbedrijf op tot de jaren 1960. Heeft ook een keramiekbedrijf opgericht te Heffen bij Mechelen. Zijn creaties waren vooral geïnspireerd op de eerdere werken van zijn Franse collega's. 

Groot keramisch beeld van een jonge dame met hoofddoek in de hand, (1951). Het beeld is handgeschilderd en gelakt als afwerking. Het beeld heeft geen breuken of schilfers en is werkelijk in uitsekende staat. Versturing met track en trace en wordt zeer goed verpakt !
