Description from the seller
Luciano Torsi (Arezzo, 1937 – Livorno 2024)
Torsi is a painter who managed to capture the public’s attention with his paintings filled with feeling, energized by colors but above all by the heart. In his paintings one can sense the scent of the seasons; one is spellbound by his streams that gush forth water and the perfectly distributed reflections air the subject, harmoniously creating a real landscape almost forgotten by the frenzy of the present.
The 'painter of forests' and 'of small villages' as Luciano Torsi has been defined, easily appealing to generalized public tastes, with his landscapes, his 'forests', the streams, the blooming meadows full of light and color, he has imposed himself on the public occupying in homes that corner of familiarity which now seems almost necessary and indispensable.
Many wrote about him: Renato Natali, Loriano Domenici, Salvatore Amodei, Bruno Damari, Mauro Barbieri, Luciano Bonetti. Many journalistic outlets have covered his painting with important reviews starting from 'La Nazione', to 'Il Telegrafo' and to 'Il Tirreno'.
