Description from the seller
The Parisian gallery CHENUS LONGHI presents to you “Fragile,” an original work by the stencil artist Ender that comes with its certificate of authenticity.
In this piece from a series centered on cardboard, Ender abandons figurative stencils to work directly with the material. By hollowing out the support, he reveals a world map in relief, whose contours are born from emptiness itself. The fragile ribbon runs across the composition and introduces an immediate reading, both simple and impactful. Between graphic play and a view of the world, the work rests on a subtle balance between solids and voids. A work that is at once seductive, strong, and political.

About the artist
Ender is a Parisian artist with a background in theatre. After more than twenty years as an actor, in 2008 he began affixing his stencils on the streets of Paris, Rome, Marseille, or Venice, choosing each wall as a backdrop. Working on paper and cardboard, he uses multilayer stencils to create figures that appear as poetic apparitions. His series blend children, gargoyles, and angels in contemporary clothing to reactivate classical themes, also reworking his own silhouette as a self-portrait. His work is regularly shown in galleries and at festivals, and he is a recognized artist within today’s stencil and street art scene.
Ender aligns with the street art movement, alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
