RARE ITALIAN 800 SOLID SILVER SET – MONUMENTAL DECANTER AND PRESENTATION TRAY, ca. 1950–1960

Exceptional ensemble of European decorative art made entirely of 800‰ solid silver, composed of a large carafe and an original associated tray, executed in Italy in the post-war period, in a refined neo-baroque style with rococo influences.

The piece is distinguished by the elegance of its proportions, the amplitude of its forms and the hand-applied sculptural ornamentation, typical of the prestigious Italian workshops of the mid-20th century. The fluid line of the carafe, the ample handle and the vegetal decoration in relief give the entire ensemble a remarkable artistic presence and a strong decorative value.

The original “800” markings confirm the authenticity of the silver and its belonging to the Italian tradition of luxury silverware.
