Bebar (born 1993) presents Mature Step, an original painting on canvas from 2022, hand-signed, created in France in the original edition, 100 by 100 cm, with frame.
Description from the seller
The Paris gallery CHENUS LONGHI presents “Mature Step,” an original oil-on-canvas painting by the artist Bebar, which comes with its certificate of authenticity. With Mature Step, Bebar develops a more organic, almost cellular painting. The composition is built in layers, like a living network, where shapes and colors are treated with oil pastels. There is graffiti-style writing, but totally liberated from the letters, which here becomes rhythm and matter. An important work in his career, testifying to this transition toward a more open language and particularly interesting for a collector attentive to the artist’s evolution.
- Original and unique work on canvas
- Comes with its certificate of authenticity;
- Signed, dated and located on the back
- Packaging very carefully done ;
- Shipped with insurance and tracking ;
- If you reside in the Paris region, you can come pick up the work directly at our gallery located in the 11th arrondissement.
About the artist
Bebar is a Franco-Spanish artist who lives and works in Vitry-sur-Seine. Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and at Parsons School of Design in New York, he develops work at the crossroads of graffiti and painting. His language evolves between figuration and abstraction, in a very organic formal approach.
His work was shown as a retrospective in 2014 at the Abbaye Saint-Martin, and he has also participated in numerous projects and residencies, notably with Quai 36 and SNCF. He is about to begin a residency in New York, pursuing a path between France and the United States. Undoubtedly an artist to watch closely within the younger generation of urban artists.
Bebar aligns with the street art movement, alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
