Description from the seller
Parisian gallery CHENUS LONGHI presents you with “Jade,” an original bronze sculpture by the artist AFAT that comes with its certificate of authenticity. It is part of “Miniatures,” the series of sculptures unveiled in November 2025 during his exhibition “At the Scale of Dreams” within our gallery. Echoing his daily life, these charming voluminous figures also convey a range of emotions. The bronze sculpture is an integral part of AFAT’s practice (he has been collaborating for several years with the Elhat Foundry near Toulouse) and dialogues perfectly with his work on canvas or paper. This small sculpture comes with its wooden box and will naturally find a place on your shelf. We highly recommend this work as an interesting introduction to the world of this emerging young artist who is increasingly talked about.

About the artist
AFAT lives and works in Toulouse. Drawing, present since childhood, forms the foundation of his practice. After several years between studio and graffiti, he finds in aerosol a tool of freedom and energy.
In 2023, a need for purity set in: he returns to a more instinctive form of drawing. On raw linen canvases, he paints at the spray can figures drawn in a single breath, in a deliberately naïve style. His line, marked by a technique of spitting that he developed, gives rise to frail characters, often barefoot, who, alone or in groups, convey emotions more than narratives, like an evocation of “that part of childhood we still carry within us.” Painting, drawing, sculpture: his work centers on the line, whether drawn, engraved or molded.
AFAT aligns with the street art movement, alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
