Belgian origin Mecar rifle grenade launcher adapter for the FN-49 (SAFN), dating from around 1950, made of stainless steel, in excellent condition, authentic/original, without a certificate of authenticity, 29 cm long and 3 cm deep, supplied with a beautiful box holder.

The object is a Mecar rifle grenade launcher adapter, a military accessory that is attached to the barrel of a rifle.
Manufacturer: Manufactured by the Belgian company Mecar.
Compatibility: This specific model is designed for the FN-49 (SAFN) rifle. There are also variants for the Enfield No. 4 and the British SLR rifle.
Function: It serves as an extension piece of the barrel (spigot-type) through which standard 22mm rifle grenades can be fired.
Logo: The round symbol on the side is Mecar's factory mark.
