V. Bassano - Taperstick (4) - Earthenware

Italian Capodimonte-style decorative porcelain ensemble by V. Bassano – mid-20th century, including:
a large two-branch chandelier signed V. Bassano,
two decorative figurines depicting children with flowers, signed V. Bassano
an elegant reticulated candy box in Capodimonte taste.

This set perfectly illustrates the refinement of mid-20th-century Italian productions inspired by the famous Capodimonte style, with their abundance of hand-applied floral decorations, cherubs, and sumptuous Rococo motifs.

The pieces feature very fine modelling and polychromy, with numerous delicately realized details: floral bouquets, vegetal garlands, cherubs, and openwork decorations.
The chandelier signed “V. Bassano” stands out for its elegant composition adorned with a central cherub surrounded by relief flowers. The other two decorative subjects depicting children with flowers complement the ensemble harmoniously.

Condition:
Good overall antique condition with some restorations and minor losses reported transparently:
- the chandelier shows an old repair at the level of the recut cherubs,
- one of the subjects shows small discreet chips on some leaf tips of the bouquet,
- the candy box shows an old restoration at the cherub forming the handle of the lid.
These flaws remain relatively discreet and do not affect the very striking decorative effect of the set.

A very beautiful display or romantic decoration ensemble, ideal for lovers of Italian porcelains, Rococo style, Capodimonte, or Baroque decoration.
