Description from the seller

Pair of French Art Deco Silver-Plated Candlesticks – Stylized Roses & Sunburst – France, ca. 1925-1930

A stunning pair of authentic French Art Deco candlesticks, dating from the late 1920s to early 1930s. These pieces are a quintessential example of the "Modernist" movement in France, combining industrial geometric shapes with elegant floral motifs.

Design & Aesthetics: The candlesticks feature a hexagonal base and a tapered, architectural shaft. They are richly decorated with iconic Art Deco symbols:
. Stylized Roses: A signature motif of the French Deco period (often associated with designers like Paul Follot).
. Sunburst Patterns: Radiant sunbeams on the base and shaft, symbolizing the optimism of the era.
. Scrollwork & Ribbing: Fine detailing on the nozzles and base edges.

Details:
Origin: France (Marked "MADE IN FRANCE" on the underside).
Period: ca. 1925 - 1930.
Material: Silver-plated white metal (Metal Blanc).

Condition: Good vintage condition. The silver plating shows a beautiful age-related patina. Some minor wear to the plating on the edges (bleeding), which confirms their authenticity and adds character. No major dents or repairs.

These candlesticks are not just functional items but true decorative sculptures that capture the glamour of the "Années Folles" in Paris. A perfect addition to a Art Deco interior or a silver collection.
