This large-format work from the Birch Reflections series shows a quiet birch forest in the gentle morning mist. Fine gray-green, sage, and eucalyptus tones merge with delicate light layers to create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. The white birch trunks clearly emerge from the misty background, giving the composition depth, elegance, and a natural rhythm.

The reduced color palette and soft transitions give the painting a modern, Scandinavian-inspired feel. Depending on the light, the perception of the colors changes—from cool silvery hues to gentle greenish reflections. As a result, the work appears lively yet extraordinarily harmonious.

About the artist

Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg.
For several years she has devoted herself to abstract and contemporary painting and creates large-format works
that balance between stillness and movement, structure and lightness.

Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metallic foils — combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions.
Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, images are created that do not dominate the space, but fill it with quiet presence.

Her artistic work follows the concept “So sounds the silence” —
a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence.
In this silence, for Faber there is no emptiness, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the gentle pulsation of the space.

Her works invite the viewer to pause and listen to the silence — that state in which calm, light, and emotion merge into a harmonious whole.
