Description from the seller

Rolleicord Va - The Versatile Classic of the 1950s
Step into the world of high-quality medium format photography with the Rolleicord Va. Produced by the legendary Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig, Germany, between 1957 and 1961, the Va was a significant milestone in the Rolleicord evolution. It was the first model to introduce the interchangeable exposure counter, allowing photographers to switch between 6×6, 4×4, and 3.5×6 formats with the appropriate kits—a testament to its professional-grade versatility.

Key Benefits
Legendary German Precision: Built to the same exacting standards as the famous Rolleiflex, offering a robust all-metal construction that has stood the test of time.

Optical Excellence: Equipped with the renowned Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar lens, famous for its sharp rendering and smooth out-of-focus areas (bokeh).

Format Flexibility: The first 'Cord to feature a modular film counting system, making it one of the most adaptable TLRs of its era.

Features
Camera Type: Twin Lens Reflex (TLR)

Serial Number: 1934820 (Located below the taking lens, directly above the "Franke & Heidecke" engraving).

Film Format: 120 Roll Film (6×6 cm standard)

Taking Lens: Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 75mm f/3.5

Viewing Lens: Heidosmat 75mm f/3.2

Shutter: Synchro-Compur (MXV)

Shutter Speeds: 1 sec – 1/500 sec, plus Bulb (B)

Aperture Range: f/3.5 to f/22

Condition
Rated: 4/5

Cosmetic: Excellent condition. The original black leatherette is remarkably intact with virtually no peeling. Chrome trim and enamel nameplates are clean and bright.

Optics: Lenses appear clear and free of major defects. The Xenar taking lens shows good coating integrity. The viewing screen is bright and clean.

Mechanical: The shutter fires across all speeds and the focusing is smooth. Technical Note: The flash sync lever is currently set to the "V" (Self-timer) position. Warning: On vintage Compur shutters, the self-timer mechanism is notoriously delicate. We strongly advise against using the self-timer without a prior professional CLA to prevent the shutter from jamming.

Accessories: The brown leather case is in good structural shape, but the leather neck strap shows significant drying cracks. For safety, we recommend replacing the strap before carrying the camera to prevent accidental drops.
