Italian Amber Glass and Silver Decanter – Empoli Style – Hand-Etched Decoration – Circa 1910–1920
Elegant Italian decanter crafted in warm amber glass and richly decorated with finely etched silver overlay ornamentation. The elongated baluster form is enhanced by intricate floral and foliate motifs, together with a charming scenic medallion depicting a gondolier in a Venetian landscape.
The slender neck and matching stopper create a graceful silhouette, while the delicate silver decoration adds refinement and luxurious visual contrast against the deep amber tones of the glass. The stopper itself is also decorated, demonstrating the careful attention to detail throughout the piece.
The form, colour, and decorative technique are strongly reminiscent of fine decorative glass production from the Empoli region of Italy during the early 20th century, circa 1910–1920.
A striking decorative object equally suited for display in classic, Art Nouveau, or eclectic interiors.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with age and careful use. The decanter presents beautifully. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
