Ground-standing decorative vase in copper, handmade, dating to the 1970–1980 period.
Description from the seller
Large freestanding decorative vase in hand-engraved copper - Italian style, 20th century
Important decorative object made of copper worked by hand, large in size and with a strong aesthetic impact. The form is that of a slender amphora/decorative vase, with a bulbous body, flared neck, and two symmetrically applied ring handles on the sides.
The entire surface is finely decorated with geometric and ornamental banded motifs, created using repoussé and chasing techniques.
The workmanship is meticulous and continues over the entire body of the object, extending to the interior as well, an element that testifies to careful artisanal production and not merely superficial decoration.
This is an object produced in the second half of the 20th century (circa 1960–1990), in a decorative style, inspired by Italian craftsmanship. Objects of this type were often intended for furnishing interiors, hotels, or decorative collections for export.
Thanks to its substantial size and considerable weight, it can be used both as an indoor or covered outdoor furnishing element, as a designer umbrella stand, or as a scenographic decorative vase.
