Hand-carved, polychrome wooden wall panel from Indonesia (likely Bali), circa 1950–1960, showing five stylised figures in prayer flanked by colourful naga heads; solid wood with gold accents, in good condition with minor signs of aging and staining, dimensions 24 cm high by 63 cm wide by 2 cm deep, back rough-finished.

Beautiful hand-carved and polychrome-painted wooden wall ornament from Indonesia, probably Bali.
The panel displays five stylized figures in prayer pose, flanked by colorful mythological naga- or dragon heads.
The piece is entirely handmade from solid wood and richly painted in traditional Balinese colors with gold accents. The expressive dragon heads, the refined detailing of the figures, and the decorative symmetry give the object a strong visual impact.
Probably made as architectural decoration or temple ornament, later used as wall decor. Dating mid-20th century, circa 1950–1975.
The object possesses a beautiful authentic patina with signs of wear and age appropriate to its age and use. The rear side is roughly finished as is common with traditional Balinese woodcarving. See photos for a good impression of its condition.
