Large cast-iron doormat / decorative grille – elegant French style – decorative and heavy-duty
Stunning antique cast-iron doormat or decorative grille with richly worked scroll ornaments and an impressive symmetrical design. This heavy decorative piece exudes the ambiance of classical French and Victorian architecture and makes a real eye-catcher at the entrance, veranda or garden path.
The semicircular shape and refined openwork details give the object a stately appearance. The beautiful interplay of lines with graceful volutes, floral accents and artisanal finish makes this doormat not only functional but also especially decorative.
Through natural oxidation, the cast iron has developed a beautifully weathered surface with authentic rust patina, perfectly suited to rustic, industrial or classical interiors and exteriors.
