Stunning Luba fetish figure

Very beautiful Luba kakudji figure. The head slightly tilted, the eyes present a refined face: almond-shaped half-closed eyes, straight nose and a discreet mouth. These figures are well known and equally fine pieces by the same hand as well. The last photograph shows a Luba pipe and a Luba maternity figure. The first comes from Sotheby's and the second from Zemanek-Münster. Wood light yet dense.

Très belle figure kakudji Luba. La tête légèrement inclinée aux yeux présente un visage aux traits épurés : yeux en amande mi-clos, nez droit et bouche "discrète". Ces figures sont bien connues et de très belles pièces de la même main aussi. La dernière photographie nous montrent une pipe et une maternité Luba. La première provenant de chez Sotheby's et la deuxième de chez Zemanek-munster. Bois léger mais dense.
