A charming and collectible designer wall clock by celebrated French illustrator and designer Andrée Prigent, best known for her collaborations with prestigious French lifestyle brand Guy Degrenne. The clock is signed "andrée prigent" on the face in her characteristic handwriting style.
The round glass clock face features Prigent's instantly recognisable graphic language — a bold black heart at centre surrounded by "I love you" rendered in eight languages: French (je t'aime), Italian (ti amo), Spanish (te quiero), Dutch (ik hou van jou), Japanese (好きです), Arabic (أحبك), German (ich liebe dich) and English (I love you) — each accompanied by one of her signature colourful painted hearts in red, yellow, blue, teal and gold.
The reverse shows a standard quartz battery movement in excellent working order. The glass face is in pristine condition — no chips, scratches or damage of any kind.
A joyful, internationally appealing piece from one of France's most beloved contemporary illustrators — equally at home as a functioning timepiece or a collector's display piece.
