Description from the seller

Set of six silver cups by Brandimarte Firenze with turned stems, mid-20th century.
The interior is vermeil silver.
The hallmarks of the silver are impressed on the rim. Weight: 697 g.
(The French term vermeil indicates a variety of gilded silver. The requirements for this material are a base of sterling silver, coated with gold plating of at least 10 carats and with a thickness of at least 1.5 microns. The chemical affinity between silver and gold gives the plating good resistance. The plating helps to avoid issues related to the oxidation of silver. Vermeil, being more expensive than silver, is a material used to make valuable objects)
