Bottle (2) - bronze and brass - Greek gunpowder flasks

Two graceful, 20th-century Balkan-Greek gunpowder flasks made of bronze and brass, with a flattened spherical shape and richly decorated relief. These flasks are composed of separate cast brass elements skilfully fused together.

Largest gunpowder bottle: The front and back show two convex medallions with floral and mythological motifs, crowned by two dragon heads with open jaws and a cherub head in the middle. The sides bear chain fittings in the form of cherub heads, St. George and the Dragon.

The top features a cylindrical pouring spout with the original stopper, attached by a chain.

Good condition, one of the flasks is somewhat dented at the top, causing the seam to come loose a bit.
