Description from the seller
A fine and elegant 800 silver cup and napkin ring set by the renowned German silversmith Bruckmann & Söhne, based in Heilbronn. Around the turn of the 20th century, the firm was among the leading European silver manufacturers, known for high-quality tableware reflecting refined bourgeois and aristocratic taste.
The pieces are fully and clearly hallmarked, making them especially desirable and precisely datable:
German imperial silver marks (crescent and crown) – official marks used after 1888
800 silver fineness mark
Bruckmann & Söhne maker’s mark
Budapest import hallmark (1902–1918) – used in Hungary during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy
This rare combination confirms both German origin and documented circulation within Hungary.
The design follows a neoclassical / Empire-inspired style, with refined proportions and a decorative cartouche intended for engraving a monogram or family crest. Such pieces were characteristic elements of elegant early 20th-century dining culture.

Cup: height 7.7 cm, diameter 5.7 cm
Napkin ring: height 3 cm, diameter 4.5 cm
