This antique jug is a typical example of craftsmanship from the period of Historicism.
Materials: The body consists of amber-colored glass, surrounded by an elaborately pierced metal mounting.
Design: The metalwork features floral motifs, mascarons (faces), and a figurative element such as a female bust at the handle.
Origin & age: This carafe was made in France toward the end of the 19th century.
The carafe comes from a family-owned collection.
