Description from the seller

CMP 526 FO
Antique cutlery in a wooden case, which includes knives and forks in Sheffield blades stamped EPNS, i.e., Nickel Silver electroplated, while the collar is in silver stamped J B, most likely John Biggin of Sheffield; then the crown is the symbol of the Sheffield Assay Office, the Lion Passant guarantees that the item is sterling silver (purity 925/1000), the letter 'b' indicates the specific year in which the silver was tested. For Sheffield, the lowercase 'b' in this shield style probably corresponds to 1895 or 1919.
The set consists of 12 knives and 12 fish forks decorated with guilloché, which is a decorative engraving technique that, when guided manually, produces a precise, intricate, and repetitive pattern on the base material.
The wooden box is lined with brown velvet and dark green lining.
Dimensions: 33 cm x 26 cm x 5 cm; weight 2 kg.
