Description from the seller

Antique cachepot with underplate by P. Regout & Co., executed in refined light blue Maastricht pottery with romantic bird designs in transfer print.
This decorative ensemble exudes the elegance of late-19th-century European tableware and interior ware, strongly inspired by the popular English creamware and transferware of that period. The subtle pastel hue, combined with the elegant braid motif along the edge and the naturalistic bird depictions, gives the whole a particularly gentle and timeless appearance.
The cachepot rests on a beautifully molded foot and is accompanied by the original underplate, making the set even more collectible. Marked on the bottom with the characteristic sphinx stamp of P. Regout & Co Maastricht.

Nice to use in:
brocante interiors
cottage or country style
English-inspired home decor
collection of Maastricht pottery

Condition:
beautiful antique condition with authentic crazing appropriate to age and production process. Normal light signs of use and aging without visible restorations that would be disruptive.

A atmospheric and decorative collectible from the heyday of the Maastricht ceramics industry.

Dimensions:
underplate 24.3 cm; cachepot diameter 19.5 cm x 18.8 cm high; total height including underplate 20 cm
