Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Art Deco tablecloth from around 1920–1930, made of trijp, measuring 160 by 133 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of age and small scattered spots.
Description from the seller
Art Deco tablecloth from the period circa 1920–1930, measuring 160 by 133 cm, executed in hessian.
The cloth has a central filling made up of cubes of various sizes and colors, creating along its length a beautiful abstract branch-like motif.
The cloth is in very good condition considering its age and former intensive use. The colors are still original and have hardly faded. The top side shows scattered very small bare spots across the cloth (probably partly scorch marks), but these are not disruptive. There are no holes, tears or other damages in the cloth.
Although, given its size, the surrounding edging, and the absence of hanging marks, the cloth most likely is a tablecloth, it is also possible to use it as a wall hanging or as a rug in a low-traffic area such as a bedroom.
All in all a very decorative, original and relatively rare object in this condition.
The cloth will be professionally packaged, insured and sent by registered mail; pickup in Alkmaar (Netherlands) is also an option.
